Ed Lawrence’s YouTube curriculum for experts who want videos that attract buyers, covering channel and funnel audits, audience research, titles and thumbnails, trust-building structure and post-publication analysis.

StoryOS is Ed Lawrence’s YouTube system for experts and business owners who want their videos to attract potential buyers rather than simply collect broad views. The curriculum follows a buyer-led path, from diagnosing your channel and funnel to audience research, packaging, video structure and measuring what each video does after it goes live.
What you’ll learn
- Audit a channel and funnel to identify barriers to consistent views, leads and sales.
- Define who the videos should attract, the problems those viewers want solved and the beliefs affecting a purchase.
- Research what an intended audience genuinely wants to watch.
- Create buyer-focused video ideas, titles and thumbnails intended to earn relevant clicks.
- Structure videos that demonstrate expertise and build trust.
- Measure and improve each published video.
The four stages of StoryOS
1. Audit the channel and funnel
The system starts by looking at what is stopping a channel from producing consistent views, leads and sales, across both the videos and the path a viewer takes afterwards.
2. Buyer-focused research
Instead of chasing the biggest possible audience, StoryOS starts with the viewer who has a problem your expertise solves. You define who that person is, what they want fixed and which beliefs hold them back from buying, then research what they actually choose to watch.
3. Ideas, titles, thumbnails and structure
Research turns into video ideas, titles and thumbnails meant to earn clicks from the right people, and into a video structure that shows your expertise and builds trust instead of just announcing it.
4. Measure and improve
After publishing, each video is reviewed against its purpose so the next one improves. Click-through and retention are read together, since a title that wins clicks but loses viewers early is not doing its job.
Why a buyer-led channel is different
A reach-led channel asks what the largest audience might click. A buyer-led channel asks which viewer has a problem connected to your offer, and what that person needs to understand before considering it. StoryOS is built around the second question, so a smaller but better-matched audience is treated as a win.
What’s in the course files
The course files contain the Academy curriculum as video lessons and PDF materials. The StoryOS software, AI Coach and live channel reviews are separate from the curriculum and are not part of these files.
Who StoryOS is for
StoryOS suits coaches, consultants, service providers and other experts who sell an offer and want YouTube to bring in qualified leads. It is less suited to creators whose only goal is maximum views or entertainment reach.
