Dan Shipper and Kieran Klaassen teach Claude Code users to deploy apps with databases, OAuth, NextJS and Vercel. Includes MP4 workshop recordings and Compound Engineering workflows.

Dan Shipper and Kieran Klaassen teach Claude Code users how to take an app from a local prototype to a public deployment. The workshop covers persistent databases, authentication and the infrastructure needed to put an app online.
The March 2026 workshop recording is presented as two half-day sessions of approximately 4.5 hours each. Its MP4 videos include troubleshooting and breakout sessions.
What you’ll build with Claude Code
- Master Claude Code for production-ready app deployment
- Build persistent databases replacing session-based storage
- Implement OAuth authentication and user data protection
- Apply Compound Engineering: Plan, Work, Review, Compound
- Deploy live apps to Vercel with NextJS infrastructure
- Develop parallel AI agent workflows with up to 10 agents
From prototype to deployed app
A local prototype can encounter new problems when it is time to launch: session storage does not provide lasting data, users need authentication, and the app needs production infrastructure. The workshop addresses those gaps through practical builds and troubleshooting.
Shipper and Klaassen draw on their experience at Every.to, where a 15-person team built multiple AI products and reached seven-figure annual recurring revenue while writing virtually no traditional code.
The four-module workshop
Module 1: Infrastructure and persistence
Set up persistent databases in place of session-based storage and explore how NextJS and Vercel fit into the app infrastructure. The module also introduces OAuth authentication and protecting user data.
Module 2: Compound Engineering
Learn the Plan, Work, Review, Compound loop and how to retain useful lessons from each build. The module also covers sub-agents, executor-evaluator patterns and workflows that use up to 10 parallel agents.
Module 3: Live deployment
Follow the move from a local app to production, including troubleshooting as problems arise. The deployment patterns are intended to be reused on later projects.
Module 4: Project work
The workshop includes a group build and an individual project, with breakout sessions recorded as part of the workshop. The projects apply the infrastructure and deployment lessons to creating a live app.
Who the workshop is for
The course is designed for people who have spent at least 10 hours with Claude Code and can run it in the terminal but are stuck at the prototype stage. Solo founders, indie hackers and non-technical product builders can follow without prior database or OAuth experience.
About Dan Shipper and Kieran Klaassen
Dan Shipper is the co-founder and CEO of Every.to. He sold Firefly to Pega in 2014; Every raised $2 million in a round led by Reid Hoffman and has been profiled in Lenny’s Newsletter.
Kieran Klaassen is General Manager of Cora at Every and developed the Compound Engineering methodology. He also co-authored “Compound Engineering: How Every Codes With Agents,” an article about AI-native development published in 2025.
