A somatic approach to storytelling

The program treats storytelling as work grounded in the person telling the story. Rather than beginning with a fixed narrative formula, it considers lived experience and nervous-system awareness as starting points for expression.

Its approach is designed for messages that carry nuance, lineage or complexity, including work intended to challenge established paradigms.

The seven-module curriculum

The curriculum begins with self-contact and narrative sovereignty, then explores voice under pressure and public resonance. It also addresses community call and response and integration, connecting the work of telling a story with how it is received.

Lessons are divided into shorter video segments, making it possible to revisit a particular concept on its own. Seven follow-along workbooks correspond to the modules and support work alongside the lessons.

The somatic practices vault contains nervous-system tools for use before writing, filming or stepping on stage. The curriculum is designed to be trauma-informed and inclusive.
